Tap connector with rubber grommet
This tap connector with rubber grommet is ideal for the installation of CS premium Soaker hose, professional, and CS Soaker hose pressureless. It offers various application possibilities, particularly for watering plants of all types.
For tapping into:
- Rain barrel
- PE pipe
- Storage tank
- Water tank (without pump)
Applications without water pressure (pressureless):
Application example rain barrel/water butt/storage tank:
The CS Soaker hose pressureless is laid above or preferably below the ground. A suitable drill (16mm) is used to create a hole in the tank. The rubber grommet is then pressed into the drilled hole, followed by the tap connector. The rubber grommet seals the drill hole. The CS Soaker hose pressureless is attached to the other end. Maximum installation length: up to 25 meters per strand, laid straight. For larger areas, multiple tanks or connections are recommended.
Recommendation:
The storage tank should be about 30 - 50 cm higher than the CS Soaker hose pressureless.
Application example PE pipe:
The PE pipe is laid along the area to be irrigated. Suitable drilling points (16mm) are created as water outlets. The rubber grommet is pressed into the drilled hole, followed by the tap connector. The CS Soaker hose pressureless is attached to the other end. Maximum installation length: up to 25 meters per strand, laid straight. The PE pipe diameter should be at least DN32. The more CS Soaker hoses connected, the larger the PE pipe diameter needs to be.
Applications with pressure (premium and professional):
Application example operation with water pressure:
The PE pipe is laid along the area to be irrigated. Suitable water outlet points (16mm) are created with a suitable drill. The rubber grommets and tap connectors seal the drilled hole. The CS Soaker hose in the desired length is mounted at the other end. The maximum CS Soaker hose length is up to 75 meters (premium) and 100 meters (professional) per strand, laid straight. The recommended diameter of the PE pipe should be at least DN32. Water pressure is reduced with a pressure regulator to about 0.5 - 1.5 bar.
