The CS soaker hose startup is our most affordable irrigation system for testing soaker hose irrigation.
The CS soaker hose should be buried underground whenever possible to protect it from damage from heat, etc. If the water used contains iron or a lot of lime, it is even more important to bury the hose so that it has enough time to rinse out the iron and lime particles without them getting stuck in the pores. If the CS soaker hose is laid above ground, it should be covered with a layer of bark mulch or soil.
When buried underground, the water goes exactly where it is needed, to the roots of your plant. This can save up to 70% water compared to conventional irrigation. The water is distributed evenly by the capillary forces of the soil.
It should be ensured that the CS soaker hose is operated with clean water and the water pressure is a maximum of 1.5 bar, ideally 0.6 to 0.7 bar. You can achieve this with a pre-set pressure reducer. Another important point is the quality of the incoming water, which can be filtered through a water filter. This should always be clear and free of dirt particles, as these can clog the soaker hose.
