Shut-off Valve with Rubber Ring
This shut-off valve with a rubber ring is ideal for installing CS Premium, Profi, and Drucklos Soaker hoses. It offers a wide range of applications, especially for watering all types of plants.
For drilling into a:
- Rain barrel
- PE pipe
- Storage tank
- Water tank (without pump)
Applications without water pressure (Pressureless):
Application example: Rain barrel/water container/storage tank:
The Drucklos CS Soaker hose is laid above or preferably below ground. Using a suitable drill bit (14 mm), a hole is drilled into the container. Then, the shut-off valve with the rubber ring is inserted into the drilled hole. The rubber ring seals the borehole. The Drucklos CS Soaker hose is then mounted on the other end. Maximum laying length: up to 25 meters per strand laid straight. For larger areas, several containers or connections are recommended.
Recommendation:
The storage tank should be positioned about 30 - 50 cm higher than the Drucklos CS Soaker hose.
Application example: PE pipe:
The PE pipe is laid along the area to be watered. Using a suitable drill bit (14 mm), the water extraction points are created. The shut-off valve with the rubber ring is then inserted into the drilled hole. The Drucklos CS Soaker hose is mounted on the other end. Maximum laying length: up to 25 meters per strand laid straight. The diameter of the PE pipe should be at least DN32. The more CS Soaker hoses are connected, the larger the PE pipe diameter must be.
Applications with pressure (Premium and Profi):
Application example: Operation with water pressure:
The PE pipe is laid along the area to be watered. Using a suitable drill bit (14 mm), the water extraction points are created. The shut-off valve with the rubber ring seals the borehole. The CS Soaker hose is then mounted in the desired length on the other end. The maximum CS Soaker hose length is up to 75 meters per strand laid straight (Premium) and 100 meters (Profi). The recommended diameter of the PE pipe should be at least DN32. The water pressure is reduced to approx. 0.5 - 1.5 bar using a pressure regulator.
