Shut-off Valve with Rubber Ring
This shut-off valve with a rubber ring is ideal for the installation of CS Soaker hose Premium, Profi, and CS Soaker hose pressureless. It offers various applications, especially for the irrigation of all kinds of plants.
For Drilling into:
- Rain barrel
- PE pipe
- Storage container
- Water tank (without pump)
Applications without Water Pressure (Pressureless):
Example Application Rain Barrel/Water Tank/Storage Container:
The CS Soaker hose Pressureless is laid either above or preferably underground. A hole is drilled into the container with a suitable drill bit (14 mm). Then, the shut-off valve with a rubber ring is pressed into the drilled hole. The rubber ring seals the hole. The CS Soaker hose Pressureless is mounted on the other end. Maximum installation length: up to 25 meters per straight strand. For larger areas, multiple containers or connections are recommended.
Recommendation:
The storage tank should be placed approximately 30 - 50 cm higher than the CS Soaker hose Pressureless.
Example Application PE Pipe:
The PE pipe is laid along the area to be irrigated. The water extraction points are made with a suitable drill bit (14 mm). The shut-off valve with a rubber ring is pressed into the drilled hole. The CS Soaker hose Pressureless is mounted on the other end. Maximum installation length: up to 25 meters per straight strand. The diameter of the PE pipe should be at least DN32. The more CS Soaker hoses are connected, the larger the PE pipe diameter should be.
Applications with Pressure (Premium and Profi):
Example Application Operating with Water Pressure:
The PE pipe is laid along the area to be irrigated. The water extraction points are made with a suitable drill bit (14 mm). The shut-off valve with a rubber ring seals the hole. The CS Soaker hose is mounted on the other end at the desired length. The maximum CS Soaker hose length per straight strand is up to 75 meters (Premium) and 100 meters (Profi). The recommended diameter of the PE pipe should be at least DN32. Water pressure is reduced to approximately 0.5 - 1.5 bar using a pressure reducer.
