Pressure Reducers and Flow Restrictors for CS Soaker Hose

Our pressure reducers and flow restrictors for CS Soaker Hose ensure that your irrigation system operates correctly according to the installed hose length. The pressure reducer lowers the water pressure, while the flow restrictor reduces the incoming water volume.

regulate water pressure control water flow protects the soaker hose suitable for 1/2 inch quick connect systems

Important: Use Flow Restrictors Only Up to 30 Meters

For installed CS Soaker Hose lengths of up to 30 meters, a flow restrictor can be used to limit the incoming water volume.

From 30 meters onwards, only a pressure reducer should be used. If a flow restrictor is installed as well, too little water may enter the soaker hose. This can result in uneven water distribution along the hose length.

Your Benefits with Proper Regulation

  • Control water pressure effectively: the pressure reducer protects your CS Soaker Hose system from excessive water pressure
  • Limit water volume when needed: the flow restrictor reduces incoming water volume for shorter hose lengths
  • Extend service life: less stress on the hose, connectors and irrigation components
  • Simple connection: all CS pressure reducers are preassembled and suitable for standard 1/2 inch quick connect systems
  • Achieve more even irrigation: the correct setup supports clean and controlled water distribution
  • Reduce leaks: helps prevent pressure spikes and unnecessary strain within the system

Pressure Reducer or Flow Restrictor?

  • Pressure Reducer: reduces water pressure from the supply line to a suitable operating pressure for the CS Soaker Hose
  • Flow Restrictor: reduces the amount of water entering the soaker hose
  • Up to 30 Meters: a flow restrictor can be used when the incoming water volume needs to be limited
  • From 30 Meters: use only a pressure reducer to ensure sufficient water enters the hose

Suitable Applications

  • Small garden beds and raised beds: a flow restrictor is often sufficient for lengths up to 30 meters
  • Longer garden beds and hedges: from 30 meters onwards, operation with a pressure reducer is recommended
  • Premium and Professional systems: use a pressure reducer for even water distribution over longer distances
  • Mains water operation: a pressure reducer protects the soaker hose from excessive water pressure
